I’m Dr. Princess Akawor, the founder and CEO of Glamoholic Nig Ltd. I started my luxury retail business in 2010, but my love for fashion began long before that. Growing up, I watched my mother, a successful entrepreneur, build businesses from the ground up, and that fueled my desire to carve my own path in the fashion world. I’m also a proud biomedical technology graduate and a firm believer in using my platform to mentor young aspiring entrepreneurs, just as I was mentored.
My entrepreneurial journey started when I was just 17, styling my classmates at the University of Port Harcourt. What started as a passion for fashion quickly grew into a thriving business, officially launching LuxeByGlamoholic after my graduation. From day one, I’ve been determined to provide the best in luxury fashion, and today, I’m proud to say LuxeByGlamoholic is a leading name in Nigeria’s fashion industry.
I founded Glamoholic Nigeria Limited in 2012 with a vision to revolutionize the fashion industry in Nigeria and beyond. My journey began with a grand fashion show in August 2012, marking the official launch of Glamoholic in Port Harcourt. From humble beginnings, I have grown this brand exponentially, fueled by a passion for delivering unparalleled luxury and style to my discerning clientele.
My commitment to meeting the diverse fashion needs of my customers led me to create two distinct subdivisions within Glamoholic Nigeria Limited.

My battle with hyperthyroidism was a life-changing experience. After my diagnosis and surgery, I felt a strong calling to share my story and raise awareness about thyroid disorders. That’s why I founded the Lackland Thyroid Foundation – to educate people about thyroid health and support others going through similar struggles.
Many people aren’t aware of thyroid disorders, and I’ve made it my mission to change that. I spent eight years living with symptoms I didn’t understand, and my hope is that by sharing my story, I can help others catch the signs early. Through my foundation, I aim to provide information and resources to those in need, especially in Nigeria, where access to specialized thyroid care is limited.
